Story By Staff Reporter

A vehicle has struck another person at the Kuwadzana Extension roundabout along Bulawayo Road. That brings the number of reported pedestrian accidents at the same location to four in 24 hours.

The latest incident happened just after 3pm today. It has deepened concerns about road safety at the busy junction.

Four incidents at one location in a single day is a disturbing pattern. Traffic authorities must give it immediate attention.

Police have not yet commented on the latest incident. They have not given an official account of the four reported cases.

The condition of the latest victim remains unknown. The circumstances of the collision are also unclear. It is not known whether any of the four incidents resulted in deaths.

These accidents raise urgent questions about pedestrian safety and traffic management. Does the roundabout need urgent intervention? Possible measures include improved pedestrian crossings, warning signs, speed-control measures and a stronger traffic police presence.

How many more accidents must happen before authorities introduce decisive road-safety measures?
