Food and groceries: Lots include KOO, Tomco and Everyday baked beans, crown spices and basil seed drinks. These are payable in ZiG.
Other items: The sale also lists speakers and sound bars, Pioneer speaker sets, hardware and construction supplies, school trunks and suitcases. A bathtub and counter books are on offer too.
Conditions of Sale
ABC Auctions has set out clear rules for buyers.
First, standard bidders get a spending limit when they register. A bidder who wants a higher limit must pay a surety deposit above 10% of the intended spending amount. Every extra US$1 deposited beyond that threshold raises the limit by US$10.
Second, payment currency depends on the item. Where a lot requires US dollars, the buyer must pay in US dollars. Where a lot is payable in ZiG, the buyer may pay in ZiG or in US dollars at the exchange rate set under ZIMRA regulations.
Third, buyers can pay in cash or by bank transfer. Payments are made at the ABC Auctions offices in Harare (Hatfield House, Seke Road, Graniteside) or Bulawayo (77 Plumtree Road, Donnington).
Finally, strict deadlines apply. The highest bidder must pay within 48 hours of the auction closing. After full payment, the buyer must collect the goods within another 48 hours.
ZIMRA has also warned that it may adjust, withdraw or add lots at its discretion. Bidders should therefore check the platform for updates.
